Dr. Ma had a rough childhood experience where he chipped his front tooth and suffered endless teasing at school. Fortunately, a dentist was able to restore his tooth and with it–his smile and confidence. This ordeal showed Dr. Ma the positive impact a dentist can have bringing joyful smiles to those in the community and is one of the driving motivations behind why he chose to be a dentist.
Dr. Ma grew up in Springfield, Virginia and obtained his B.S. in Biology at Virginia Commonwealth University. He then went on to achieve his Doctor of Dental Surgery at West Virginia University and spent the next six years working with the underserved population in Romney, West Virginia.
Dr. Ma then decided to use his dental training and expertise to bring oral healthcare back to his hometown. He is committed to providing evidence-based, patient-oriented care and wants his patients to know he sees his practice, staff, and patients as his family.
Outside of the practice, Dr. Ma likes to work on home improvement projects and enjoys outdoor activities like tennis and golf. He also loves spending time with his family and eating homemade Vietnamese food.
